“When designing this alphabet, it was critical to be consistent with formal elements while allowing each letter to have its own personality. Laser-engraved into hard maple and finished with tung oil for longevity, the type coasters were created within the Hatchery—Tyler School of Art’s incubator—a new initiative to foster entrepreneurship among design students.”
