Location: Detroit, Michigan
Duration: I have been working as a freelancer since late 2011.
Education: I will graduate in April 2014 with BFA in graphic design from Oakland University.
Influences: I am influenced by using an assortment of pens, pencils and tools, such as an oblique pen holder, or a brush. I have found that the more I work with my hands, the more in touch I am with the work I am reproducing digitally. Lately, I’ve found inspiration in examining samples from lettering books and various materials that exist offline.
Environment: These days, I work mostly from a home office. It is a love/hate situation, as it requires a nice balance of getting out.
Philosophy: Work with your hands when you can. It is a beautiful thing, even if it is just practice.
