In his fourth year at HÉTIC, a Parisian school that specializes in information and communication technology, interactive design student Cédric Pereira created his portfolio website with development from fellow student Serge Wsevolojsky. With the idea of crafting a memorable experience, Pereira settled on creating a horizontally scrolling homepage with abstract bubbles that provide visitors with windows into his case studies. The navigation was designed to use as little movement as possible; visitors can scroll down to move across on the homepage, and as they reach the end of a case study, Pereira’s site cues up the next one, creating a seamless experience. For front-end development, Wsevolojsky used Matter.js for the bubble physics, React JS, for the structure and Tweenmax for animations.
